Esses desenhos são uma reflexão sobre a luz. E também sobre uma certa escansão do tempo, pelo significado dado à execução propriamente dita. Mais do que a representação de uma imagem, o que estou procurando é uma reflexão concebida passo a passo, produzindo diversas variantes das referências pontuais que norteiam a feitura da imagem. E assim deixar inscrito no papel um signo de uma imagem que sugira uma expansão do tempo de observação. Entender a observação e a imaginação como florescimentos, lentos e gradativos. Sem acentuar o protagonismo da solução claro-escuro, quero fazer reverberar a presença da luz, e imaginar, nas áreas de sombra, esses reflexos que alcançam as várias superfícies e corpos que, mesmo não clareando as sombras, espalham a luz ao redor, pela atmosfera, como se uma umidade no ar permitisse fazer brilhar pontos de luz. Isso é criado aos poucos, com o cuidado para manter as áreas de luz e as áreas sombreadas, iluminando gradativamente esses pequenos detalhes. Nos desenhos da série, que está em construção, vou buscar essas “iluminações” em diferentes soluções de paisagem. O título da série se refere a esse processo de iluminação gradativa que vai “florescendo” à medida que vou realizando o desenho.

These drawings are a reflection on light. And also on a certain scansion of time, due to the meaning given to the execution itself. More than the representation of an image, what I am looking for is a reflection conceived step by step, producing several variations of the specific references that guide the making of the image. And thus leaving inscribed on the paper a sign of an image that suggests an expansion of the time of observation. Understanding observation and imagination as slow and gradual blossomings. No emphasis on chiaroscuro solutions: I want to make the presence of light reverberate, and imagine, in the shadow areas, these reflections that reach the various surfaces and bodies that, even without lightening the shadows, spread the light around, through the atmosphere, as if humidity in the air allowed points of light to shine. This is created little by little, with care taken to maintain the areas of light and the shaded areas, gradually illuminating these small details. In the drawings of the series, which is a work in progress, I will look for these “illuminations” in different landscape solutions. The title of the series refers to this gradual illumination process that “blossoms” as I make the drawing.
